Curved House, BLANC COMPOUND ( know, such a very very late post! Better late than never!)

After Dark Matter by Junyee, went to Curved House at Blanc Compound Gallery. The exhibit featured two of my favorite professors (whom I can say, have influenced greatly in my art- I cherish them the most) First was my teacher from my the school where I went to high school to (Berea- an Arts and Sciences High School) Ma’am Cathy Lasam- Ballo and Ambie Abano, my prof in materials 1 (sculpture class) when I was in my first year college. And yes, their names are google-able!

It consisted of Filipina artists. I must say that all of their works speak much about the contemporary world that we have today. Hmmn..di maiwasan. There were signs of feminism. (sorry, wasn’t able to take the pictures of all of the artworks there! was busy talking with friends hihi )

Meanwhile..

Isko Operation is still ongoing.

One CHE (Information Dissemination Campaign by the Coll of Home Economics Rep, Carla Gonzalez  to the USC)

The University Student Council and the League of College Councils have tied-up for a common cause - to give help to the poor and downtrodden people of Negros Oriental.

As a recall, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit the 1st District of Negros Oriental last February 2012, leaving around 4,000 children barefoot and hungry. A number of enrollees drastically dropped from last year because they had no slippers to walk long hours from their remote sitios to their school and back. So from JULY 24-AUGUST 17, 2012, there will be a Tsinelas Donation Drive where tsinelas donation boxes will be stationed all over the University. We are encouraging all Isko’s and Iska’s to give charity to the students of Negros Oriental by donating slippers so that they may be able to go to school again. Slippers may also be purchased for Php25.

For inquiries, you may contact your local student council, or Carla Gonzalez at 09155765177.

One pair of slippers can make a BIG difference. Education is the key and should be a right for all, so let us give them a chance to WALK TOWARDS THEIR FUTURE.

One random morning while waiting for my exam in Asian Art History in UP-CFA, — never really imagined that there would be great finds like this.

CYMA

My posts are so mixed up. This was 2-3 days before Bam’s birthday, April 30 and what day is it today? — dumidipende lang talaga sa mood ang pagpost kaya hindi sunodsunod . I have been super busy juggling “work”, and council work together with my emotions all at the same time this summer. Hwala! Even my posts are out of  order..

anyhu, Cyma has been the top choice when in terms of fine dining and great food. And of course, Greek Cuisine. I had spent eating here for my Brother’s birthday and my parent’s anniversary last year and now Bam’s.
